The Princess Bride (1987)

(PG) 98 mins

Synopsis: A classic fairy tale, with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, and yes, some kissing (as read by a kindly grandfather).

Director: Rob Reiner

Writers: William Goldman (screenplay & book)

Stars: Cary ElwesMandy Patinkin and Robin Wright

Serious Jest:  (Must Own)  To me, this movie is almost still as good as it was when I watched it as a kid.  I don’t get tired of it…it’s funny, unique, and interesting…still Elwes’s best performance…so many classic lines…André the Giant…and I just realized that Princess Buttercup is Jenny from Forrest Gump!
