Synopsis: Discovering covert and faulty intelligence causes a U.S. Army officer to go rogue as he hunts for Weapons of Mass Destruction in an unstable region.

Writers: Brian Helgeland, Rajiv Chandrasekaran (book)
Stars: Matt Damon, Jason Isaacs and Greg Kinnear
Serious Jest: (Rental) This film is a conspiracy theory, cleverly illustrated in a highly entertaining way. Refreshingly, Greengrass also obviously used military advisors in making this film, as the military tactics were sound and the interactions between soldiers were, by and large, realistic. The actors were convincing, as well, especially Khalid Abdalla as Freddy, who really made you feel for his situation. This movie is definitely worth a Friday night rental, and the quality is high, but because it’s heavily dependent on deliberate psychological buildup and plot twists, it’s probably not a film you would go out of your way to watch more than once.
