Daniel Tosh: Completely Serious (2007)

(TV-14) 61 mins

Synopsis: Comedy’s chosen one, Daniel Tosh, has been healing the sick, stopping wars, helping underprivileged children… and filming Completely Serious, the single greatest hour in comedy. What have you been doing? The torch has been passed, and stand-up’s newest superstar will try not to drop it!

Directed by: Joe Angio

Studio: Egami

Serious Jest:  (Free View)  I love Tosh’s show, Tosh.0.  Now I see why he’s perfect for it.  He is like the ADD king, jumping from joke to joke, mostly with no lead-ins, or connection to his previous jokes.  His stand-up comedy is so random and stream-of-consciousness, that you spend half of the experience wondering, “What the hell is he talking about?”  But you spend the other half laughing.  Tosh relies very heavily on shock value, but his delivery, charisma, and obvious intelligence offset some of the downright evil things he says.  I haven’t watched his new special, Happy Thoughts, but I am looking forward to see how he’s grown as a comedian since gaining 4 years of additional experience as a star comedian.
